A few weeks ago, I was asked to do a workshop on Agile in Apeldoorn, Netherlands.
They would like to know my view on Agile in general, with a focus on testing.
So, I collected some of my ideas and I was lucky to have the book "Testen2.0" on me, while this book supports some of my ideas on testing in an Agile environment, because that's what Agile testing is according to me.
All of this resulted in 59 slides of statements related to Agile.
These slides can be found here - unfortunately they are still in Dutch, but I'm working on a translation at the moment.
If you have remarks or questions on the material, a forum topic will be opened with this topic in the section 'Agile Testing'
Thursday evening 22nd of January: A lot of belgian and dutch testers gathered at the KVIV buiding in Antwerp to come and see Dr. Stuart Reid.
Stuart came to talk about Agile development & testing, and why one cannot be done without the other.
As announced after the presentation, we at the Belgian Testers will post a forum entry with a small summary of the presentation and will open the discussion with a few questions.

Being a tester, I try as much new trends as possible. Twitter was one of those for me about 6 months ago. Now, I have to admit that I'm becoming an addicted user.
Therefore, we also created a Belgian Testers account on Twitter.
If you're using Twitter, you can find us under the name BTesters, or by following this link BTesters. All the updates on this blog will be announced there through RSS, so wherever you are, you will be notified about new blog entries!
For those who are not yet Twittering, just register, it's for free!
As everybody is counting down towards the new year, we at the Belgian testers group would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy (bugfree) year!! See you soon!
Good morning all!
Wonderfull to wake up at 8, have a shower and go to breakfast... all at ease!
So, I wonder what Michael Bolton has in mind for his tutorial of the day 'Questioning Testing Myths: Critical Thinking Skills for Testers'. He can be a surprise somethimes.
He is involved in the Rapid Software Testing, of which I'm a believer, so I hope it will involve some of these items as well.
Then, in the afternoon, the opening of the conference takes place with Bob van der Burgt and the keynote of Microsoft - they have proven to be good and bad, so this one can go either way.
As Admin already pointed out, Monday 10th of November was the start of another Eurostar conference. I had the chance to free me up one day to follow a tutorial. For all visitors to Eurostar coming with a car, I guess it was a bad day. Not only was there in Holland more than 430 km of traffic jams (which is double the usual), it was a very bad day weatherwise also. It took me twice as long to get in The Hague as the GPS system told me. Anyway, I arrived just in time to pick the start of the tutorial.
The first day is finished. I followed the tutorial 'Adaptive Test Management in Practice' done by Michiel Vroon and Tim Koomen.
I know both speakers and always enjoy listening to them. But, that is of course not the main reason for selecting this tutorial. The reason for selecting this was for me mainly to find out whether the 'traditional' test management approach is also applicable to agile methods and other flexible approaches like iterative and incremental approaches.
This is what I found out:
- TMAP Next is indeed applicable to agile methods
Good morning everybody!
7.30 in the morning, a hotel room in The Hague. Almost getting ready for the EuroSTAR2008 conference, dedicated to the future of software testing.
I will try to report on a daily basis my experience of this conference. Today I'll be following the tutorial from Michiel Vroon and Tim Koomen on 'Adaptive Test Management'. I'm really looking forward to this one!
But, first, let's see what the hotel has to offer for breakfast!
